Evita
EVITA, one of the world's greatest musicals, returns to London's West
End after 21 years this summer. Directed by the award-winning Michael
Grandage and featuring lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber,
the brand new production of the smash-hit stage show has its Press Night
at the Adelphi Theatre on June 21st.
EVITA is based on the life and times of Eva Perón, the second
wife of Argentine dictator Juan Perón. It chronicles her life as
Argentina's most complex and powerful figure, against a backdrop of political
unrest, until her tragic death of cancer in 1952. EVITA features many
classic songs including 'Don't Cry for Me Argentina' and 'Another Suitcase
in Another Hall'. This new production will also feature the Oscar winning
'You Must Love Me' for the first time ever on stage.

The Quinn Direct British Masters Golf

The tournament sees the return of top level European Tour golf to The
De Vere Belfry, which was the last European venue to host the Ryder Cup
four years ago.
Three heroes from that victorious European Ryder Cup team have already
confirmed their presence at this year's prestigious event: British Masters
defending champion Thomas Björn; Darren Clarke, ranked 18 in the
world and European Tour Number Three from 2005, Paul McGinley. Other past
and present Ryder Cup stars look set to join them from Thursday 11 to

The art of equestrianism, in perfect time to music...
Five years after their last sold-out tour, the Spanish Riding School of
Vienna return to the UK in November 2006 to stun audiences with their
emotionally charged equine ballet.

World Championship Boxing
8 July - Cardiff Millennium Stadium
Boxing superstar Joe Calzaghe will headline the magnificent Millennium
Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday 8 July in his homecoming.
The hard-hitting Welshman, who has held the WBO World Super-Middleweight
for nearly nine years, put on what has been described as one of the finest
performances of all time by a British boxer when he destroyed the American
Jeff Lacy in March to claim his IBF crown and unify the belts.
Calzaghe now features as the main event of a fantastic six-title card.
England XV V Barbarians - The Gartmore Challenge
Twickenham - 28 May
On Sunday 28 May, England will take on a star-studded Barbarians side
for their annual fixture at Twickenham, for the Gartmore Challenge. Australian
World Cup winning coach Bob Dwyer will be in charge of the team at Twickenham.
Playing squads will be confirmed shortly with the likes of Thomas Castaignede,
Justin Marshall and Owen Finegan pencilled in to play against England.
The Barbarians are renowned for playing, entertaining, action-packed expansive
rugby and the day promises to be a fun filled finale to the end of the

Soccer Six – tickets on sales this week
Soccer Six take its celebrity football tournament into its eleventh year
with events at Birmingham City FC (14 May) and a tbc London Premiership
Football ground (21 May).
Spanning back to 1995, when participants included Blur, Oasis, Robbie
and Jarvis Cocker, this year promises to be the best Soccer Six yet. With
a plethora of critically acclaimed bands hitting the big time and the
list of big name celebs and established A-listers queuing up to take part.

her other West End credits include Les Misérables and Joseph And
The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

CARDINAL PLACE ICE RINK
