Assassin's Creed review |

Review of Assassins CreedAssassin's Creed – Review Assassin's Creed is a free roam Third person game made by Ubisoft that takes place during the crazy crusader times, the game involves killing some members of the knights Templar as a main objective and killing 60 others somewhere else as another side mission that doesn't have to be done but you can do it anyway for Bragging rights.
Funnily the game actually takes place in 2012 according to all available lore that you can find in the game and a company called Abstergo Industries or whatever has captured you and are using you to locate some treasure using a machine called an Animus. It is all explained to you throughout the game by the cute female scientist assistant, according to her the machine works by carbon dating your bodies carbons and then somehow tracking where they've been, so when they send you back to the crusader times you are just reliving the events that your ancestors did. And there's some other story which doesn't need to be spoilt to you. Back in the holy land you play as Altair, a white American, who is an assassin from Masayaf, and you are meant to jump climb and run around the 3 main cities, which are Acre (Where everyone sounds like they were in Monty Python's Flying Circus) Jerusalem (Where some guy who hates you with one arm is) and Damascus (Which isn't really interesting.) And the idea is that you kill some Templar's that I've already explained,. Though to do the actual killings you have to do a so called investigation which involved a minimum amount of things you have to do, and the tasks are pretty much the same in every city, it's just that it's a different area and it's more harder the more you progress through the game, but to know where these tasks are, you have to climb up tall structures and press a certain button to Synchronise with your ancestors memory, then the locations of the things are nicely visible to you on your mini map, Then you can also save some citizens, which a lot of people just tend to forget about doing, but if you do it, then either Scholars or Vigilantes will be around that area, which is useful when you need to lose a lot of the guards that are seemingly after you. Which is quite a nice and handy thing, so I went and did a lot of them. Another excellent feature of the game is that there are some horses that you can tide in the game, but if you don't want an army of guards chasing after you then you have to press a certain button to slow down, however, your horse is so fast that you needn't worry about the guards, there are also Flags everywhere which are collectable, and also help you gain Bragging rights, each area tends to have certain flags, like Jerusalem will have Saracen flags in it because of it being the main city of the Saracens which is all nice and dandy. However, the idea of Assassination is pretty much all you do for the whole game, however the deep story of the game keeps you playing because you demand to know what happens next. At the end of the game, you feel like you've spent your time watching some form of a movie, though more like an Interactive movie which should be the way forward in movies and video games, and this game does it quite well. To summarise, the game has an excellent and in-depth story which is of a much higher standard that most games currently out there on the market, it is very good looking which is also quite good for games of these days as all games have to have graphics or else people are not going to shine very well towards the game, so if you like killing people for pay, wait you don't get paid, but anyway, if you like killing people, this game is for you, if you like movies with interactivity, this is for you, this game is brilliant, so BUY IT NOW! 90/100 |
